This program is designed for the owners who have both the time and patience to practice daily training
sessions. The first half of the program focuses on teaching handling technique and the basic commands,
while the second half heavily emphasizes distraction training and application.
|
 |
This program consists of 5 in-home lessons and 5 group distraction training classes.
Your private trainer will teach you the techniques and skills required to train and communicate with your
dog, as well as the commands and their applications in everyday life.
Commands Taught: Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Front Commands, Motion
Commands, Distraction Training, Verbal Commands and Hand Signals. |

 |
This program meets the needs of:
1.
the owner who's dog has special training needs that can be better handled by a professional trainer.
2.
those owners whose schedules would inhibit a consistent training environment for their dog
3.
those who simply want the precision of professional training for their dog
|
 |
During the training period, the dog stays at a local kennel and receives daily training, exercise, and
plenty of TLC. The training is accomplished efficiently, and positively.
|
 |
Since the success of the residence program depends on the owner's relationship with their trained dog the
residence program includes "in-home" OWNER training lessons, with the emphasis on owner instruction,
education and obedience use and application in everyday life.

 |

Behavioral Problems are symptoms of a deeper problem within the dog.
 |
Problems such as destructive chewing, mouthing, barking, aggression and others are symptoms
of deeper problems within the dog.
|
 |
Through a highly detailed analysis and in-home evaluation of the problem, modifications and recommendations
are made regarding the approach to managing the problem.
|
 |
A training program may be recommended by a staff trainer during the evaluation to develop a method of
communication with which to solve the problem.
We use a comprehensive approach to solving all behavioral problems - not just a simple
"bandaging" of the situation.
Behaviors are then carefully monitored throughout the rehabilitation process to ensure progress as well
as continued success in the future.
Not only does this erase the behaviors by eliminating the core problem in the dog, but it also provides
an education for the client's prevention of future problems.
